We have our favorite segment coming right up, recruiter of the week. This is a new face to the Hirewell update. Well not a new face as much anymore, but like you mentioned still a new face. Yes! Let’s bring in Cat. Hey Cat! Hello. How are we?
How’s it going? Good. I’m glad to be here with the dynamic duo. We are so thrilled to have you. Thank you so much for clearing your very busy social schedule to join us. Cat is notorious for always having something to do, so. Good for you! But we get a few moments today. It’s my pleasure. You know, as a new person to Chicago, I think I just get excited and can’t really say no.
And now that it’s warm, it’s just that time of year. I get it. Good for you. I love it. Well, we’re going to learn a little bit more about you and we’re excited. Before we get started, will you introduce yourself? Who are you and what do you do here at Hirewell? Sure. Well, my name is Cat and I am, like I said, a newbie to Chicago.
I’m from Cincinnati, Ohio. Born and raised my whole life. So decided to up and move here a year ago and joined Hirewell in the fall. And I have been here ever since and just really loved everything about it and still developing as a recruiter. And I joined a really great organization to do so.
So I’m actually just really glad to be here and glad that it’s my turn to finally be recruiter of the week. It’s my time to shine ladies. Your time to shine. Well, we’re going to play our rapid fire questions game with Cat. If you’re new to this game, we’re going to put about two minutes on the clock.
In those two minutes, Cat, you are going to answer all of our questions quickly, but of course, thoughtfully. We will wrap that up, our final 30 seconds will be a lightning round. Quick refresher on the lightning round because I think we need it. We need the lightning lightning answers. It’s going to be an and or an or, and you must pick one immediately.
We need no explanation as to why, unless you’re asked for one. Just answer. Okay. I think I got it. Okay. Okay. Amazing. Ryan is going to ask your first question. Time is on the clock in 3, 2, 1. Go. Cat, what’s your favorite thing about working at Hirewell? Oh gosh, this is like such a classic question. But I mean just the culture and innovation, you know, they’re just constantly striving to be better.
We just got unlimited PTO or working 100% remote. They have the WeWork space, if you really want to go in. Everyone’s just like so helpful and friendly. So I know that’s like seven different reasons, but it’s hard to pick just one. It’s just- it’s allowed for now. Just everything. What’s the first thing that you do when you’re done with work?
Oh gosh, it depends on the day. I mean, Monday, most likely sitting on my couch with my cat and scrolling on TikTok for a little bit, but then throughout the week I try to hit the gym. So it depends. I love it. There we go. What is one song that will always get you on the dancefloor? Oh, gosh, anything Katy Perry. Okay which Katy Perry song? I’m like a huge Katy Perry
fan. Oh gosh. I don’t even know, like teenage dream. Yeah. That’s a good answer. That’s a very good answer. Well, speaking of which, what would you sing at a karaoke night? That is so hard. I don’t know. I feel like you could rock teenage dream. Like my heart is saying anything Katy Perry. Fair. Totally fair. Repetitive question.
We love that. What’s your go-to guilty pleasure? Anything chocolate or binge watching real Housewives. Do you have a favorite real housewife, like city or? Do I have a favorite one? I would say Kyle on Beverly Hills, Kyle Richards. She’s just like an OG. I love it. When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up? Probably an actor.
Nice. There’s still a little bit of lingering, you know, wanting to be an actor. So this is the closest thing I’ll get is my time on LinkedIn with you guys.
Em, should we start the lightning round? Lightning round, let’s rock and roll. Okay. Let’s do it. Ice cream or sorbet? Ice cream. Big groups or small gatherings? Small. Money or love? Money..?
Introvert or extrovert? Extrovert. Movies at home or in the theather? At home. TV or book? Ooh, TV. Pause time or rewind it? Pause. Call or text? Text. Concert or sports event? Concert. Final one- really controversial one here. Crunchy or smooth peanut butter? Ooh, that is controversial- crunchy. I’m gonna go crunchy. Okay. Like you answered it, you answered it.
Finally. Somebody that will eat a nut butter. I love peanut butter. Either one is fine with me, but. But you did a great job. You were like, I love both, but I’m going to answer. So let Cat just be our example to all of our following guests for the lightning round. You crushed it and I could see you doing some acting.
The camera loves you. You’re doing great. What a natural.
Yeah, no, I definitely prepped for this and watch some old Hirewell updates and recruiters of the week. So I was prepped for this, you know. I was born ready. Awesome. Well, Cat thanks for joining us. It was so much fun having you on. Hopefully we’ll see you again soon. If not in a movie, on the Hirewell update- or at the karaoke bar singing Katy Perry.
Yes, we’re doing that in July. Write that down for sure.
See you guys. Bye.
