Let’s bring in our recruiter of the week. Yeah. Let’s bring in none other than Jin Bacheller.
Hey Jin! Hey, how’s it going? Really good. How about you? Really good. Thanks for having me on. Of course. We know that you are very excited about this too. Yesterday when I reminded you it was your day you said, this is the moment I’ve been waiting for.
Yup, this is your moment. Well firstly Jin, introduce yourself. Who are you? What do you do at Hirewell? Sure. So my name is Jin Bacheller. I am the lead recruiter for corporate finance and accounting at Hirewell. I’ve been at Hirewell for almost two years now. Wow. Time flies. I was just going to say time flies. I know. We say it all the time, but it’s true.
It’s a little scary. It’s been clicking by though. Good. We’re clicking by. But we’re so excited to have you on here. We’re going to play our rapid fire questions game with Jin. Two minutes will go on the clock. Jin, you have those two minutes to answer as many of our questions, some new, some old as quickly but of course as thoughtfully as possible. Are you ready for this?
You were studying, right? You’re like ready to go. He’s been practicing, putting two minutes on the clock and just like going. All right two minutes on the clock. Ryan will ask your first question in three, in two, go. Jin what’s your favorite thing about working in Hirewell? It’s gotta be the people. I mean, they’re so good at finding the right candidates.
They found me. So I love that. Would you rather be the funniest person in the room or the smartest person in the room? The funniest. I like that one. Why? Because then you’re more involved in the conversation and people are more likely to approach you. Love it. Yeah, really thoughtful answer on that too.
If you could have an unlimited supply of any one thing forever, what would it be? It would be the sour patch kids. Yes! Who has you for secret Santa this year, because that’s what they need to get you. I mean, that’s what my team gets me all the time anyway. I have like a drawer full of gummies and like that’s my jam.
That’s amazing. This is going to be a test for who actually watches the show. Like Melissa just commented she’s watching live like who our colleagues watches the show. If they are, they’ll know what to buy you. Exactly. What was your very first job? Very first job, paperell. Oh, wow. That’s amazing. What time did you have to wake up for that? I was sixteen and I delivered papers on my skateboard.
And then when I got into dirt biking, I did it on my bike. Coolest paper boy ever! It was probably the worst two summers of my life. I love that. What time did you have to wake up? Like four o’clock.
Oh, bless you! That’s why I was never a paper woman because it’s far too early, far too early. Jin, who is your all-time favorite fighter? It could be MMA or boxing. I know you’re into both sports, so which one? Yeah, that’s such a really great question. I think- man that’s a really tough question. I figured this one might stump you but I had to throw it out there.
Yeah. I think Rickson Gracie is probably the most impressive fighter I’ve ever seen just because it’s not just about like boxing or you know, when you’re doing MMA, it’s like you’re on the ground, you’re standing up, everything goes. And the guy was just a Savage. I love that. I gotta like look into all that now.
Final question. On topic, what is your favorite Thanksgiving side? Good question. It’s got to be the stuffing. Oh, okay. What kind of stuffing does your family do? Yeah we need to hear about this stuffing? Cause stuffing can vary and that can be kind of dry too- hope
my family’s not watching. I think just the regular stuffing, like I don’t like seafood in my stuffing or- what?! I don’t really like cranberries in my stuffing either, but I’m not going to complain. Like if it’s out, I’m going to eat it and then it really like one B would be gravy and not every family does gravy, which I understand, but I just like to-
firstly, I’m shocked that people have at seafood in their stuffing, like what? Oysters. Did not know that was a thing, but okay. Or meat stuffing. Some people do like sausage in their stuffing too. That I’ve seen. I’m not going to yuck anyone’s yum but my family doesn’t do gravy. And when I first brought my boyfriend home for Thanksgiving and like, he- I like thought he was going to get up and leave the Thanksgiving table.
I mean, it would be understandable. He likes to do the gravy and basically like just make like a gravy soup of everything. And I thought he, I mean, Thanksgiving was ruined in his eyes. Gravy’s like a great one B answer. Like that is, I think a lot of people are going to relate to that.
I agree. He’s just going to bring a little side of gravy for himself. His own gravy gets pulled out from under the table. Beyonce’s got hot sauce. Some people have the gravy in their bag, you know. I love it. Well Jin, it’s so awesome to have you on. We love seeing you- almost two years, wow. We love ya! Thanks. Thanks for joining Jin we’ll see ya soon.
