Let’s bring in MK and learn a little bit more about her. Welcome to the show MK.
Hello ladies!
Hi, how are you?
Good.
Good. We’re happy that you’re here. Do you go mostly by MK or Mary Kate?
It’s more MK. But whatever works, there’s a lot of ways to do my name.
MK really rolls off the tongue. I love it.
Yes, it’s the easiest.
We’re thrilled you’re here. You’re in Chicago, right?
Yes.
Amazing. We got our whole Chicago crew. I feel like you’re always with, you know, we’ve got like a social Hirewell group. We feel like you’re always out and about, which I love for you.
So tell us a little bit more. We’re thrilled to have you on the show. How long have you been at Hirewell and what do you do here? I have been at Hirewell I think it’s 14 months now. So I’m on the IT recruiting team. It’s been a very quick 14 months too. I feel like I just started.
Time flies.
Very.
Time definitely flies.
We’re thrilled you’re here finally, after 14 months. I can’t believe you’ve gotten away with not visiting us for this long, but we are so pumped to play our rapid fire questions game with you today, MK. Two minutes on the clock. You will have those two minutes to answer as in many questions as you can, as quickly as possible. Those last 30 seconds will be our lightning round. So you gotta choose either or.
This or that.
It has to be just one or the other. That’s it. Are you ready?
I’m ready.
I’m laughing cause chicken kind of blends with me. This is actually great. Okay. All right. Ryan’s gonna ask you your first question, MK in 3, 2, 1. Go.
MK, what’s your favorite thing about working at Hirewell?
The people. I feel like that’s a common answer, but truly the people.
Agreed and it is a good answer indeed. What’s your favorite Chicago fall activity?
Walking on the river and seeing all of the leaves and the colors changing.
Oh, we love foliage. I miss foliage. That is the best, that is for sure. Speaking of different seasons, what is your favorite season and why?
Summer, because you cannot beat summertime Chi.
You can’t, it’s true. What’s your most used app on your phone?
Probably iMessage. Just always in group chat with all my friends.
Mm-hmm. Definitely fair.
Oh, absolutely. Do you have a guilty pleasure TV show and what is it?
Yes. Housewives, all of ’em.
Oh, do you have a favorite housewife?
New York is probably my favorite franchise. Yeah. Okay, good one. Any specific housewife?
Love Luann. Going to see Luann at Cabaret Christmas Show in Chicago, in a few weeks.
Ryan’s in. Sign her up.
I’ll see you there.
What’s your favorite type of sandwich?
Honestly? Peanut butter.
Oh, crunchy or smooth. We’ll get it out of the way now.
Crunchy or smooth? Smooth.
Smooth. Okay. That’s fine. That’s good. So good. What was your first job?
I was a hostess at a restaurant.
Ooh, what kind of restaurant?
A supper club in Wisconsin.
Love it. Very cool.
Shout out the Del Bar.
Is that where you grew up?
Around Wisconsin Dells, yeah, but Reedsburg is where I grew up.
Okay. Love it. Love it.
All right. Lightning round. Let’s rock and roll.
Coffee or tea? Coffee. Go out or stay in? Go out. Sweet or savory? Savory. Deep dish or thin crust. Thin crust. Fruits or veggies? Veggies. TV or movie? TV. Text or FaceTime? We know you’re a texter. FaceTime with my friends. Everyone else, you can just text me. I don’t want that to like– candidates are gonna start Facetiming me. We’ll let that go. That was allowed. That was necessary.
Would you rather be in a big group or a small gathering? Small gathering. Dogs or cats? And chicken’s gone, so you wanna fend him.
Dogs probably. Oh, that’s a good one. Instagram or Facebook? Instagram. Last but not least, pepperoni or plain cheese pizza? Cheese. I’m boring. No, plain is great. The final bonus question. Do you dip your pizza in anything or just like straight purist pizza? I do ranch. Great. That’s honestly what I was fishing for. I don’t know what else you’d dip your pizza in. More marinara, maybe?
More marinara. Yeah. Good option. But I think it’s a Midwest thing, I don’t think I ever did it growing up in LA. And then I moved to Midwest for 12 years, I can’t eat pizza without ranch now. I love it.
MK, you crushed that. You were ready for this. I told you, watch what happens live. I’ve been preparing for this. Does that make us, Andy Cohen? You can both be Andy. Biggest compliment of my life. Maybe I’ll be like Anderson Cooper, you know, besties. Oh perfect.
Well, MK, thanks so much for joining. We’re excited to see you in a couple of weeks. Yes. It’s so nice. And I’ll find you at the Countess show too.
Oh, yes. I’ll be there. Love this for you guys. Love it. Absolutely. All right, thanks. Okay. See you soon. Bye.
