Our favorite segment of all time, the recruiter of the week. We’ve been doing this for a while now, almost since the start of the new year and we just have so much fun getting to know our colleagues a little bit better. Some of our colleagues we know very well, so we could have answered all of the questions for them, but it’s been really fun doing that segment.
So without further ado, we’re going to bring in this week’s recruiter of the week, Mike Randick. Hey Mike, how are ya? Hey, I’m good. How about yourself? We’re doing great? I’m so excited to have you. Thanks for having me. Absolutely. Well, we are thrilled to have you, like Ryan said. For those of us who are joining for the first time for this segment, we are going to play a rapid fire question game with Mike.
We’ll put two minutes on the clock and Ryan and I will ask you as many questions as we can get through. Your goal Mike is to answer them quickly, but of course, thoughtfully. So before the time starts, quick intro. Who are you? What practice do you work with at Hirewell? Yeah. I’m Mike Randick. I’m a lead on our digital experience and marketing practice.
I’ve been with Hirewell for five great years, and I’m excited to get started on this a little rapid fire question game. I love it. He’s ready to go. Are you ready to start the first question, Ryan? I’m ready. In three, in two, go! Mike, what’s your favorite thing about working at Hirewell? The culture. It’s great people obviously, but I also like that everyone’s very bought in to just trying new things and you know, if it doesn’t work out, no big deal. But just very open-minded type environment.
If you weren’t recruiting, what would your dream job be?. Ooh, that’s a good question. Probably something to do with the Chicago bears, my favorite team. I don’t know what exactly, but some affiliation there. Well, it’s going to be a good year. Yeah. Follow up question. Who’s your favorite Chicago bears player?
Devin Hester is my all time favorite. I don’t know if I have a favorite right this second, but Devin Hester is my favorite of all time. Love it. Good question. What is your favorite spot to brunch at, in Chicago or your favorite dinner spot? You choose. Favorite dinner spot? Dee’s pizza. My fiance and I, so she’s from the east coast and they’re like the only east coast – New haven style- so yeah.
So, I had actually never had New Haven style before until she introduced me to it and it’s now my favorite pizza. Like, I can’t believe I’ve gone all these years without having it. But Dee’s pizza is a place we hit up a lot. Bonus question. What’s your favorite pizza topping? Because I know they do like the clams and like potatoes, right?
Is that the New Havens style? It’s clam and bacon. I’ve also adopted that. I wouldn’t say it’s my favorite. Like my favorite combination of all time is Italian beef and giardiniera, which definitely Chicago thing, but clam and bacon, don’t knock it until you tried. It’s actually like really good. I was like very blown away by how much I liked it.
So I do get that from time to time. Love it. Well, I’m going to Dee’s this weekend and trying that for sure. This is also a special question for Mike because we would, when we were in the office he used to send me videos of animals doing crazy stuff. So Mike, if you could be any animal, what animal would you be and why?
That’s a great question. Probably be like an Eagle or something. Like, that’d be cool to like fly around and that point of view, just, I don’t know. I could probably think of something better, but that was the first thing that come to mind. It’s rapid fire. That’s the point! Final question. What is one thing that you are looking forward to in the next year?
I’m getting married on October 30th, so that’s probably the number one thing and that the honeymoon after that, and just that whole experience with Caroline. We’re both looking forward to. You did great. You did great. That was a wonderful rapid fire question. You crushed it. Thank you. Thanks for joining us Mike. It was great to have you. Thanks for having me!
