We’re going to have a short, yet sweet segment. We’re going to start with the recruiter of the week. Very excited about this individual that’s joining us today. So without further ado, I’m going to bring in Nicole. Hey Nicole. Hi! How are you? Great. Welcome to the show. This is your first time on right? It is. I’m very, very nervous and very excited.
Don’t be nervous. You’re going to crush it. Well, have you ever watched the talent insights segment before or the Hirewell update? Have you watched the hot jobs and all the other things? Oh, I sure do. I’m a big Hirewell fan. I love it. So I’m sure you’re familiar with our rapid fire questions game, but as a refresher or for people that haven’t joined us before, I’m going to put two minutes on the clock.
I’m going to ask you a bunch of random questions. You’re going to answer as thoughtfully, but also as quickly as possible. And then we’ve introduced a new segment at the end where it’s like rapid fire. I’m just going to ask you this or that. And you tell me, and we’re going to try to get through a bunch of those too. Sound good?
Sounds great. All right. Well, before we get started, who are you? What do you do at Hirewell? Introduce yourself. Absolutely. So my name is Nicole Magats . I am a senior recruiter on the on demand team. So right now I’m doing an engagement with a company called rippling. I’m working on their sales and commercial roles.
So very new to Hirewell, still. Been here for like four months, which is wild to say out loud because it feels like it’s been no time and a long time, all at once, but. Very cool. It’s so funny. I feel like a lot of people at Hirewell say that when they get started, like, oh, I feel like I’ve been here forever, but also time is flying.
So there’s gotta be something in the water over here that makes it feel that way. I mean, I think it’s one of those things where it’s, everyone’s so great. And you feel like you’ve been friends for so long, but then you look and you’re like, oh, it’s only been three minutes. So I love it. Well, Hey, I’m going to put two minutes on my clock.
Okay. We’re going to get started. I’m going to start with the first question and obviously ask you all of them today, too because Emily’s not here. So let’s get started in three, in two and one. Nicole, what’s your favorite thing about working at Hirewell? The people, as cliche as it is. I love it. We love hearing that.
How do you unwind after work? Oh, I love watching trash TV. So anything reality I’m watching it. What’s your favorite reality show right now? Right now I’m rewatching old, Real Housewives of New York. My favorite all time is like original Vanderpump rules. I mean an OG Housewives, for sure. But Vanderpump is a very, very close second for me as well.
Bravo all the time at my house. Where did you grow up? So I actually grew up in a suburb 20 minutes from Chicago called LaGrange. Lovely. And what’s your favorite place to dine in Chicago since you’re still local? My favorite place is this Korean barbecue place in Lakeview East called Crisp. It’s my favorite.
They don’t deliver where I live. So whenever I go up in the area, it’s like always my treat to myself. Oh, I love it. We all have a spot like that. When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grow up? I wanted to be a lawyer. I love that. Love, that. Love that. And final question before we get into our rapid fire portion here.
What’s your favorite snack? I posted this on LinkedIn today cause I have an affinity for flaming hot Cheetos. So now I need to know what everyone’s favorite workday snack is. See, mine is very similar to you. I’m a flaming hot Cheetos fiend. Like I should’ve worn them. I have a pair of branded flaming hot Cheetos socks that I wear
occasionally. You should have worn them. This would be the perfect time to show them off. But that is my go-to when I’m like in a healthy mood. It’s, you know, like maybe some Greek yogurt and fruit, but flaming hot Cheetos in my heart. Same here. All right. Now from one minute, we’re going to go as fast as we can for the next questions,
okay? In three and two and one. Call or text? Text. Smooth or savory? Savory. Sauce on the side or sauce on top? On top. Guac or salsa? Guac. Vacation or staycation? Vacation. Passenger or driver? Driver. Dogs or cats? Cats. Plans or surprises? Surprises. Pizza or burger? Pizza. And last one, go in or stay out? Stay in. I love it. You crushed it.
Oh my gosh. I mean, for being nervous, there was no way we could tell. And it was so nice learning more about you. I can’t wait until we have you back on the show, but in the meantime, let me know when you need a buddy to eat some Flaming Hot Cheetos with. I will be on my way over. You’re welcome here anytime.
All right Nicole, we’ll see you soon. Thanks for joining. Thank you so much.
