Episode Transcript

Well, we’re going to kick things off with as always, the recruiter of the week. Everyone knows we love this segment. It’s so much fun. We talk about this all the time, but since Hirewell has grown so much over the past two years, this has been a really fun way for us to get to know our colleagues better, ask them some very random questions. So let’s bring in this week’s recruiter of the week. What do you say? Let’s do it. Hey Becky! Hey, what’s up? Welcome, welcome. How are you?

I’m good. How are you guys? So good. The more we say it, the more we believe it. We’re good. Well, we’re so excited to have you on here. Becky’s just like a little bit nervous, just like a little bit nervous, but there’s nothing to be nervous about. This is going to be wonderful. We’re really excited to have you on. Before we get started,

will you just introduce yourself? Who are you and what do you do at Hirewell? Yeah. So I’m Becky. I live in Chicago and I’m on our managed team. Right now I’m working with Leap, they’re super awesome- software company based out of New York. Awesome. And I love that. I mean, we talk about managed all the time, but you are like literally a leap recruiter, like you are on their team.

So we love it. You’re just- you work at Hirewell, you work at Leap, you work all the places. Well, we’re really excited to have you on here. We have a game for you, and I know you’ve probably done all the research in the world, but if you are joining us for the first time viewing rapid fire questions is coming up.

Two minutes will go on the clock. Becky, you have those two minutes to answer as many questions as you can quickly, but of course, thoughtfully. And we are going to wrap up those two minutes, the final 30 seconds will be our lightning round. I don’t know. We need- can we get like sound effects? I’ll work on that for sure.

I’ll work on that too. Clearly that needed some work. Are you ready to do this Becky? I’m ready. Alright, Ryan is going to ask your first question. Two minutes is on the clock in 3, 2, 1 go! Becky what’s your favorite thing about working at Hirewell? I knew this one was coming and definitely the people, but also there’s just like so much freedom and everyone trusts you to do your job.

It’s just good vibes all around. Good vibes, love that.

And since it’s topical, what’s your favorite summertime Chicago activity? Ooh, summer beach volleyball. I just signed up. We got the team rolling. Our first games next week. That’s my favorite thing. We should do this in July. I’m not good at all, but I like to participate. Not a bad idea Em. Becky what’s like your guilty pleasure TV show?

Real Housewives probably. Which one? Beverly Hills. Is that the new one? Yeah, it is. I started watching it kind of late, like literally last year and I hadn’t seen it before that. But it’s just so good and so much drama and I love that. Amazing. What’s your most used emoji and can you act it out for us as well please? I think it’s like the big-

that one, like with the scared face. Yeah.

Done. I love that. What is like one of your favorite vacation spot? Okay. So like all my life, Michigan because my family has a lake house there. So literally like we didn’t take vacation, we just went there. But I think probably Ecuador, honestly. My aunt lives there and she lives right on the beach, so good place to stay and it’s just a good spot.

And it was not super crowded, which is nice. I’ll come with you next time if you need a plus one. Let us know next time you go. All right, are you ready for rapid fire? Oh gosh. Okay. All right, let’s do this. Call or text? Text. Sweet or savory? Sweet. Crunchy or smooth peanut butter? Crunchy. Finally, somebody answered that one instead of saying that

they like nut butter. Sauce on the side or a sauce on top? On the side. Spicy or mild? Mild. Guac or salsa? Guac all day. Dogs or cats? Dogs. Plans or surprises? Surprises. Love that. Bad haircut or bad hair color? Oh, I think color because you can fix that. We’ve heard that one before. All right. Last one Ry. Last one.

This is a tough one, but are you a deep dish fan or thin crust? Thin crust mostly because I’m vegan and I can’t even eat deep dish anymore. But you know what, I so appreciate that you like committed to answering and picking a side. We’ve had a hard time with the lightning round sometimes,

like some cop out situations. Yeah. We love explanations on things so you crushed it. I feel like plans and surprise- that one I’m still unsure, but surprises are always fun. Yeah, surprises are fun. They’re a good time right. But you went for it so you go girl! Becky, will you come back and see us again? I will! A hundred percent. Thank you for joining us.

Thanks. See you later. Bye. Bye.
