Well, let’s kick things off with this week’s recruiter of the week. I’m very excited about this week’s guest because she’s on my practice, the HR team. I only have her, I think for a couple more weeks before she’s out for a little bit. She’s got some news to share with all of our viewers, I’m sure. But let’s bring her in. What do you say Em? Let’s do it.

Hey, Sarah. Hi, Sarah. Welcome. Welcome. How are you? Thank you! I’m excited to be here. We’re excited to have you. Ryan and I worked closely together and Em and I less closely. So this is fun. You guys do work. I’ve got like FOMO with HR people because if I were to be on another team, it might be HR. It’d be HR. We’re a good group.

I feel like no one else watches this live. So I don’t feel badly for saying. Other teams are tuning in right now. No one, no one’s watching. Well Sarah, we’re so excited to have you. Really quickly, we kind of just gave a little spoiler, but will you quickly introduce yourself. Who are you and what do you do at Hirewell? For sure, for sure. So I’m Sarah. I’ve been at Hirewell for almost a year. I want to say my anniversary is- I actually don’t know. It’s at the end of the month though. So almost a year. I’ve been in the staffing space for 10 years. I was in Chicago for 10 years, moved to St. Louis and I’m on the HR practice and I’ve work closely with Ryan.

And Sarah, why are you going to be out of the office for a little bit? What, like life- I thought you were going to save this, but let’s get right into it. Yeah. We are getting right down to it and thanks Ryan. I am eight months pregnant. So. Yay! Yeah. That’s why like virtual life is so funny because I met somebody in person before where

I was like, what? You’re pregnant? Because right now, like you, I could not have even- pregnant. No, my bumps literally hitting the desk. So loving virtual life. The cutest. You look amazing. I hope you’re feeling well too. Thanks guys. Of course! We’ll, we’re going to play our rapid fire questions game with Sarah. We’re going to put two minutes on the clock.

In those two minutes, we are going to ask Sarah as many questions as we can. Sarah was like, can you like go like a little easy on me? You know, like pregnancy brain is definitely a thing. And I was like, no, I’m so sorry. We’re not. She actually did say that. I did. This is all true. I’m giving away all my secrets today.

And don’t forget, we’re going to finish this up with a lightning round. There’s going to be that fun lightning round at the end, but you’ve got this. We have all the faith in the world in you. Are you ready? I’m ready. Ready as I’ll ever be. Ryan will ask your first question in 3, 2, 1, go! Sarah what’s your favorite thing about working at Hirewell?

I know everyone says this, but it’s boring, it’s cliche- it’s the people. I mean, they’re the best from our Ryan’s and Em Goor’s to Rosanna my boss. Always the people. You’re the best too Sarah. We love having you. The best! What is your favorite kind of sandwich? Wow. That’s a good one. Grilled cheese. Great answer. A little tomato soup or sans the soup? Just pretty basic. Just the grilled cheese. I like tomato soup but usually separate. Not together. Well follow up question

to that, are you like a double type of slice gal? Like how much cheese are we talking on this grilled cheese? Yeah, like a hefty amount, especially these days. We could do- the more cheese the better. I mean, you could do like minimum two layers. All the cheese. Do you have any pregnancy cravings? Yeah, carbs. Well, I guess everything- I was going to say just carbs and sweets, but that’s pretty much – everything. So food.

Yeah. Food, just loving food. All of the above. What is your favorite time of year in terms of like seasons? Summer. Definitely like 4th of July. Love the heat. Love the summer. Okay. If you were going to have a barbecue tomorrow, pretend it was warm out. What would you bring? Oh, that’s a good question. I’m a fruit salad- pretty, but really easy.

I like that. I like that a lot. What is one bucket list item that you have yet to check off that you’d like to? Oh, Ryan that’s a hard one! You’re making me think. That’s a great question. That’s always a hard one. What would it be? I mean, I want to say just traveling more places. Yeah. We definitely want to kind of do like Asia, so that’s definitely something I want to check off.

Yeah. That would be an incredible trip. I’ll come if you need me to come. I’ll watch the kids. Or you could stay back and babysit- whichever you prefer. Or we can go with the kids. Are you asking what I prefer? Because I prefer club.

I love it. What is your most used emoji? I’m like, oh God, I’m so old when it comes to this. I honestly think either the thumbs up or like the basic smiley face. I think it’s the thumbs up just from experience. I do that at work too. I like the thumbs up. That’s good. Okay. Are you ready for lightning round? Yeah, let’s do it. Alright. Call or text? Text. Sweet or savory? Sweet. Music or podcast? Music.

Cake or pie? Cake. Pool or beach? What was the first one? Pool or beach? Oh! Beach. Sorry. Pizza or burger? Pizza. Go out or stay in? Stay in. Coffee or tea? Coffee. Deep dish or thin crust? Thin crust. When you’re sleeping, fan or no fan? Fan. Yeah, big fan gal. TV or movie? Movie. Cook or take out? Take out. Early bird or a night owl? Usually early bird – but not lately.

That was it. That was not scary, right? No, you crushed it! I mean you were intimidating at first, but you, it was great. We make it seem a little scarier than it actually is, you know? Yeah. No this is great. This is how fun. Keep people on their toes. I’m like on an evil streak recently where I’m like, no, we’re not going to be nice. Really? We’re changing the questions

like literally every time someone comes on the show at this point just to test people. Ryan’s really good at that. Yeah. Well, Sarah we’re so, so happy you’re here. And like, we just, I don’t know. I feel like even though we don’t work closely together, I’m always hearing your name in such a positive context and being celebrated.

So, yeah, that’s probably true. So keep crushing it. We hope you feel well. We’re sending big hugs. Aww, thanks. And always love seeing you Em. Ryan I’ll see you first thing every day. Alright bye Sarah. Thanks for joining.
