Well onto the next segment, which is by far our favorite, the best ever: the recruiter of the week. We are so excited for this week’s guest.

One of our fav coworkers, Shannon is going to be joining us today. We’re super excited to have her, so let’s bring her in. Hey, Shannon. Hi! How are you? We’re so good now that you’re here. Oh, lovely, lovely Wednesday with you ladies. I mean, just little fun fact about Shannon- well few fun facts. First of all, she’s fabulous.

We love her. She’s been at Hirewell a very long time. How many years Shannon? Almost seven. Seven, that’s a long time. That’s a really long time. I still believe you’re still only 23 too. I know right? Well with like with an 80 year old soul, but we still love her. Shannon taught me everything that I know about recruiting, so power to ya.

Actually second Shannon fund fact, she hates this. She literally hates this. She does not love being live. No, I don’t. My palms are a little sweaty, but you guys make me feel comfortable. So I appreciate it. Well, the camera loves you. So Shannon quickly, you’re going to introduce yourself and then we’re going to play the rapid fire questions game.

We’ll put two minutes on the clock. You’ll have two minutes to answer as many questions as possible. Your goal is to answer them quickly, but of course thoughtfully. So before we begin, who are you? Where do you work at Hirewell? I’m Shannon DiBenedetto. And as Emily said, I’ve been with Hirewell almost seven years now. I’m part of our managed recruiting practice.

Gorgeous. You crushed it already. So two minutes on the clock, Ryan is going to ask your first question and three, in two, go! Shannon what’s your favorite thing about working at Hirewell?

I will say the people, of course. Great coworkers because I feel like it’s rare, like we’re actually friends and so it’s nice.

Actually friends. What is one exciting thing that happened to you this year? Well, we were finally able to have a big wedding and get married for a second time. Second wedding, it was the best first wedding anniversary ever. And it was gorgeous. Your photos are insane. If you could travel back in time to a year or even a decade, what would you choose and why?

Ooh. I would probably go with like the Egyptian era, you know? Like going back, like I go way back, like if you’re going to go back, go all the way back. So after that, why Egyptian though? Because they’re just very interesting. Like the history is very interesting. They were so advanced and but still mysterious.

So I would like to know kind of the day in the life of. Shannon’s, going back to the ancient days, I love it. It’s so on-brand. Shannon, what’s a hashtag Shannon job. A hashtag Shannon job is anything that doesn’t really fit into one of Hirewell’s practices. So some one-off roles that may be a little interesting.

You might have to Google what they are and what they do. To go off of the hashtag Shannon jobs, what’s the most interesting job that you have filled? Ooh, that’s a tough one. I don’t even know where to begin. Yeah. Well, our first job we filled together, what was that? That was a truck driver, correct?

Yeah. Yeah. So anything and everything, but I love talking to people who do so many different industry type of specific jobs. It’s interesting. I love it. I love it. What is your favorite vacation spot? Ooh, favorite vacation spot. I would say Italy because there’s so much to do. It’s just so beautiful.

And it’s lovely. It’s such a good place. By far one of my favorites too. This is a tough question as well, but that is your favorite place to brunch at, in Chicago? Oh, that is really tough because there’s so many good places. I would say like a good Tavern brunch. They do it so well. They have a French toast that is just amazing and French toasts are my favorites.

That sounds so good. Sunday actually, I have reservations. Oh, yeah. Let us know how it is. Sponsor us!

Tavern please sponsor us. Final question, then we’re going to dinner because I know like we always talk about restaurants, like best Chicago restaurants. If you could go anywhere for dinner tonight in Chicago, where would it be? Oh my gosh, you guys are asking some really tough questions.

I mean, Topo Gigio is always just a classic. Chef’s kiss. You can’t beat a good pasta- with some martinis. Right. Great combo. I’ll see you ladies there tonight for dinner. I can’t wait. Shannon I know that you just hate being on camera, but you you’re just, you’re wonderful. The camera loves you. You crushed it, you did great.

No awkward pauses. Well like I said, you guys support me and you make it happen. We got you. Yeah. Thanks for joining us. It was so great to have you and learning a little bit more about you, so we’ll see you soon. See you tonight at Topo Gigio for dinner. Bye.
