So Zac Colip from the tech team is going to be joining us for the recruiter of the week spotlight this week. What Zac doesn’t know is he gave me a little bit of a heads up yesterday that he has been like dreaming about the day he would be the recruiter of the week. So I took it upon myself to add a ton of new questions to the sheet. So any preparation he’s done is out the window because we’re going to ask him all the things that we’ve never asked anyone before.

I’m sure that’s just how everyone feels before they come on. They’re just like dreaming of the moment they get to come on the show with us. I’m excited to be surprised too, because sometimes you add questions to our sheet and we’re live in the rapid fire questions game and I’m like, that question is amazing.

Well, I have surprises for both of you then. Let’s make some dreams come true this morning on a Wednesday and bring in Zac. Hey Zac! Hey guys. How’s it going? So good. How excited are you to be on the show today? I’m thrilled. He’s pumped. Can’t you feel the excitement everyone? Can’t you just feel it. There’s a buzz in the air.

There’s a buzz in the air and let’s keep that buzz going. So firstly, before we start, we’ll have you introduce yourself but then we’re going to get to our rapid fire questions game. We’re going to put two minutes on the clock. In those two minutes, we are going to fire some questions at you Zac. You are going to answer them as quickly, but of course, as thoughtfully as possible.

And apparently there’s a lot of new questions today. Are you ready for that? No. I don’t know if I’m pretty for it either to be honest. So it’s fine. I was training all night, you know. He was prepping with the old questions. All right, firstly introduce yourself. Who are you? What practice do you work with at Hirewell? Yeah, I’m Zac Colip. I work on the tech practice.

I’m a vice-president, I’ve been working with Hirewell for about over nine years now. So long time. Almost a decade. I love it. That is literally nuts. Are you ready for this? Let’s go. All right, let’s do it. We got two minutes on the clock. Ryan’s going to ask your first question Zac in three, in two, go. Alright I have to ask this question, but what’s your favorite thing about working in Hirewell?

I think really just working with the people and the clients, I just a really enjoy it. Makes it feel like you’re kind of running your own business, which is kind of fun.

It is. I’ve not, I’ve like thinking about it that way. That’s a good point. If you could be on any reality TV show, what would it be and why?

I think I would go with Survivor. I thought you were going to say that I don’t know why, but I had a hunch. Tell me why. I had a buddy do it actually and he made some errors and like I saw it coming and I could do it better. You saw it coming because the producers are like really good at that, but yeah. Let’s reach out to the Survivor producers.

We want to get Colip on there. We’ll get you on the show next year. What’s your most used emoji? Probably the wink, you know? It’s a good one. Yeah, it’s a good one. I like it. These are really good, Ryan. What is the most embarrassing fashion trend that you used to rock? When I was in like middle school, I used to wear all of those

skater alien shirts. So that’s a pretty good one.

I wish you still had it and wore it. I would. Actually, let’s bring it back. I think we should bring it back. It’s going to be a new trend for sure. What was your least favorite food as a child? And do you still hate it or do you now like it? So I don’t like peanut butter. But I do like peanuts, so it’s a little strange. But I still do not like peanut butter and I have to make peanut butter jelly sandwiches for my kids all the time

and I’m totally disgusted. I’m shook. Is this more interesting than the fake banana flavor or I’m like shook. Not liking peanut butter, nut butter, like nut butters in general are maybe like one of my favorite foods.

Do you like any other nut butters? Have you had almond butter, cashew butter? I haven’t really given it a shot, you know, too risky. You know, what if it’s like peanut butter. Wild, wild information. Risks. All right. We’ve got one more question for you. One more question. If you were famous, what would it be for?

And you can’t say winning survivor- or not liking peanut butter. Yeah, that’s a tough one. Hmm. It can be whatever you want. Whatever, dream big. I can make it up? Yup, you can make it up. Okay, when I was a kid I always wanted to play like basketball, like NBA and I was 5’10. So it was never going to happen. Maybe if I was a little bit taller. There you go. You never know.

Well, you crushed it and those were brand new questions and you seriously killed it. Very fluid, very quick, very rapid for our rapid fire questions game. We love having you on here all the time Zac, we do. Yeah. Thanks Em and Ryan, you guys are doing some great work over there too.

Thanks, appreciate it Zac. Have a good one. We’ll see you again soon.

2nd place isn’t the 1st loser

Sorry, Dale Earnhardt “We don’t want her if she’s not excited about us.” No one likes being the 2nd place option. Companies don’t. Neither do job seekers. But is it really that bad? Ego is a hell of a thing. Even the most ...
