Episode Transcript

Hey everyone, welcome back to another week of Recruiting Reality, the show where we pair up hot topics in the entertainment industry with some helpful recruiting tips. Now last month, Oprah put out her 2023 list of must haves for the holiday season, the perfect gift giving list, and it was perfect again this year.

She’s always just perfect. She’s on top of it. She really is. Well, Liz and I had a chance to look over the list. We were talking about like what our dream gifts off those lists were. I know mine. She breaks it up into sections and the whole cozy section was just calling my name from the candles to the lounge sets to the super expensive robes. Like, anything off that I’d be happy with.

A hundred percent. She had like cashmere yoga pants. I’m like, do I need to own cashmere yoga pants? I think so. I think for me, the gift that stuck out, that I was like, “Oh, this is fun.” And I did copy the link and send it straight to my husband. Was this really cute cross body like- it’s called a hydro bag. It’s like a quilted bag for your water bottle and it’s like fitted perfectly for a water bottle.

You can put your phone and your credit card in there. So, that would be my favorite thing. But as we love to do. We love to connect. So Oprah’s Favorite Things 2023, we thought we would also share what our favorite episode of Recruiting Reality has been. If you’ve been here from the beginning, thank you. If you haven’t, please go back and watch all the episodes.

We’ve had so much fun filming them. I’ll start with my, one of my, favorite episodes because honestly, they all, I think are so fun and special. And we do hope you notice that we color coordinate in every episode. Every one. And we love it. But my favorite episode is the one on The Bear, the FX show about a chef who opens a restaurant and just the chaos of it all and our correlation to agency recruiting.

That was one of my favorite episodes. What about you, Shania? Yeah, I love The Bear episode as well. But I think my favorite was the collab we got to do with the Hirewell Hot Corner. Big shout out to Lou and Dan. Woo!! It was just so fun. It was our first like collab episode. And we got to talk about the internet phenomenon of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

So I think it was just a fun episode and got to bring together some Hirewellians. We love it. And hopefully more collabs in the future. If you’re not tuning into our show, their show, go check out what shows we offer here at Hirewell. We’ve got a lot of content from a lot of recruiters. Yeah, a ton. Yeah, I think a lot of really awesome perspectives. And we will link those episodes in the comments and we just hope to continue to bring you entertainment trends and connect it with recruiting.
