Episode Transcript

We are so excited that we’re wearing Marigold in honor of the golden bachelor. If you haven’t caught on yet, we love having a color theme. So, the golden bachelor, for those of you who haven’t heard of it or are curious about what is this golden bachelor, essentially It’s following 72 year old Gerry Turner as he takes a second chance at love.

He has not given up, he is persevering. He is a hopeless romantic who is going to find the one and we are equating it with the job search and not giving up because we know that it can be tough. This year especially has been hard on a lot of industries, a lot of recruiters, just a lot of different folks in different workforces, and I think the message that we’re really wanting to send is be like Gerry.

Don’t give up. We do see the market starting to pick up. It’s definitely one of those what goes down must go up. And we’re excited to see the turnaround. What do you think, Shania? Yeah, definitely. I mean, on LinkedIn, it’s very notorious. We’re seeing all of these, I’ve had X amount of interviews, I’ve applied for X amount of jobs, and I’m still not getting anywhere.

And it’s so hard, especially as recruiters, we really want to have the jobs to give you. And so, we’re hoping that this slight uptick continues to go up and that the job market will just continue to get better for everyone. But just like Gerry, don’t give up and keep fighting for the job and for the role that’s going to make your career even better.
