Techweek Chicago, the city’s leading technology conference and festival, created a first-of-its-kind giving campaign, Techweek Gives, that is rallying Chicago’s top tech companies together to make a profound impact on the community.
Hirewell, like all of the participating companies, is donating time, money and goods in the 90 days leading up to Techweek Chicago, which kicks off June 19, 2017. The goal is to raise $1 million and encourage participants to contribute 10,000 volunteer hours to benefit S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) and other local nonprofits.
To date, we’ve contributed over $25,000 and nearly 50 volunteer hours. Hirewell is committed to giving back to the community around us, and we are thrilled to join the tech leaders of Chicago in this campaign.
Candidate Experience sucks right now. That’s it. That’s the show.
If you think back to 2021, when the job market was on fire, it was top of mind for everyone. Not just LinkedIn think pieces, but companies poured lots of time and effort into white-glove interview processes.

Jeff Smith and James Hornick explain why ignoring candidate experience is costing companies big in The 10 Minute Talent Rant, Episode 111, “Candidate Experience Has Never Been Worse”
